Weekend Recap

hey blog world!  hope you all had a great weekend!  the bluedot's had a great weekend, with the minor exception of our high school team losing to it's rival on friday night...ah well, we can't win them all!

saturday we had a terrific picnic and fun playing at a local park, where i took some great pictures of my gorgeous kids (yes i am biased, but they are freakin' good lookin')

bluedotteen is growing up way too fast for his mama's liking...he is such a great kid and i am very proud of him!

bluedotprincess is a character that keeps us on our toes...i am enjoying how much she likes me now, because i know once we hit those teen years she will hate me!

Thankful for Free Therapy Thursdays...

Happy Thursday…. it's thank you very much day!  I love this free therapy where I can vent and unload all of this unwanted frustration that builds up.  We all need this, so go on type yours out, grab the button and link up so we all can share in this wonderful therapy that is FREE!!!

*To the Rooms To Go delivery men, don’t tell me things won’t fit into the room I have cleaned out and then not help me move furniture around to accommodate the delivery.  Oh and by the way bluedotdad was able to single handedly move all the furniture into the room you said it wouldn’t fit in! 

*to hh gregg and rooms to go, get your process together and have our TV ready already.... this having to wait and wait and wait is driving us nuts!  We want our big tv already!

*to bluedotteen for the love can you please clean your room…I know it is your room and stuff piled all over the place doesn’t bother you, but it really bothers me and since you don’t pay the bills you have no right to having things like you like them!

*to the football player who face-masked bluedotteen at last weeks football game, you are lucky my husband held me back, cause this mama was mad!

*to a certain family member, make your own decisions, don’t call and ask us for advice…cause we all know you are going to do whatever you want anyway!  We don’t need your drama!

*to a certain person whom I will call cruella deville, just because you can be evil, mean & nasty doesn’t mean you should…karma will get you one day and I really hope we are around to see it! 

*to bluedotprincess’s teacher, please respond to your emails!

wow...has it really been that long since my last post?

where does the time go...sorry i haven't posted in forever!  life is busy for the bluedots as usual!  bluedotteen is playing varsity football and we spend lots of time sitting in a football stadium cheering on the rebels!  bluedotprincess is her busy self as usual.

i'll try to write a real post soon and update!

• to my body which has decided to make me slow down and rest, thank you very much!  I don't have time for this, please shape up and act right.
• to our dogs who are regressing and have decided it is ok to pee in the house, thank you very much. Please stop such nonsense...you're killing me!
• to the endless laundry and housework, thank you very much for job security.  I would be very happy to have a clean house and laundry for at least a day, will it ever happen?

Sixteen years ago...

I love to see the azalea's bloom...they are beautiful.  Sixteen years ago, I was on bed rest preparing for the birth of my first born.  Bed rest becomes old and boring fast.  You grow tired of what is on television and this was before we had the internet.  But then the azalea's bloomed.  I would sit and gaze at the beautiful flowers, watch the bumble bees buzz around the flowers and day dream about my baby.

Each year as the azalea's bloom, I remember being very pregnant and how much my life has changed.  I can't believe it has been sixteen years since my baby boy was born.  He has blessed our lives beyond measure.

7. Did you get enough sleep last night?  NO...

8. What's the first thing you thought about this morning?  what am I going to wear today...

9. Grilled or Fried? --HONESTLY  Grilled!

10. Are you afraid of the dark?  only if I watch a horror movie and then lights MUST stay on!

Not Me! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday!  The blog carnival that MckMama created.  Head on over to her blog and check what everyone else has been not doing...




I did not forget earth hour...I am always a good steward of mother earth and would never not realize it was earth hour until it was over.

I did not spend 3 hours cleaning bluedotprincess' room on Saturday...I would never allow my child's room to get that out of control.

I did not let bluedotteen watch The Hangover with us on Friday night and pause the movie and embaress him with random questions about the birds and the bees.  I am a great mom and would never allow my son to watch a unrated version of a movie, much less embarress him...oh and if I did that I most certainly would not have laughed and laughed at his embarssement.

I did not have a fabulous weekend and want it to last longer.  I am always so ready for Monday morning and the return to work and school.
