heaven is for real

i just finished ready heaven is for real...what an awesome book! 

the book tells the story of a small boy who visits heaven and what happens when he starts telling his story to his parents.  it was an easy read (i finished it in 1 day) and was heartwarming.  makes me anticipate even more going to heaven and seeing my baby and other family members who have passed on.

1. March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday so I'm wondering...do you like green eggs and ham? Okay-how about this instead...how do you like your eggs? Or don't you?
i love eggs...i like them any way you cook them!

2. Is March coming in like a lion or something less ferocious where you live?

a lion...the weather is gorgeous. 

3. Do you work better or worse under pressure?

under pressure!  the added pressure makes my creative self spring into action.

4. March Madness-are you a fan? It's college basketball in case you're wondering. And if you're outside the USA tell us-is there any sort of 'madness' taking place during March in your part of the world?

i like basketball.  but i am not as into it now as i was when we lived in nc.  

5. Under what circumstances do you do your best thinking?

in a quiet place...seems that my best place lately is driving.

6. What item of clothing from your wardrobe do you wear most often?

my shoes...i absolutely love them and they are sooo comfortable!

7. Do you use sarcasm?

“Are you sarcastic?” “Well no duh!” ha, i think to stay sane these days everyone has to be sarcastic.

sickness, ugh!

sorry i have fell off the blog train...unfortunately, our family has been invaded by germs!  we have had the crud followed by 2 bouts with the stomach virus'.  i suppose that is what happens when you have a child in elementary school and parents that work in an elementary school and middle school (you know the germ capitals of the world!)

we have bleached and lysoled the house and all gotten new toothbrushes.  so hopefully all the germs are gone!  we have paid our sickness dues for 2011 and will spend the rest of the year healthy & happy!

reading glasses, really?

tick tock, tick tock, tick tock....know what that is? time flying by and my getting older!  i am a bookkeeper and thus spend hours each day in front of a computer screen and looking over spreadsheets and various paperwork.  well, my usual bad vision that is corrected by contact lenses now is not enough, i have had to resort to wearing reading glasses (per my eye doctor's suggestion)...

well at least i found some cute reading glasses!

hurry up spring!!!

this weekend we had a glimpse at spring weather...it was warm, the birds were singing and it was lovely...i can accomplish so much more when the weather is nice than when it is blah and yucky!

today it is very overcast in the al and we are expecting rain and storms, yuck...followed by colder weather, double yuck!  while having to deal with rain and cold weather (40's) is bad in my book, i know that the majority of the country is being hammered by a blizzard.  so very thankful we are not seeing any of that...

dear winter, we enjoyed you but you are wearing out your welcome...please leave soon and send us wonderful springtime to enjoy!
